Summer JOB
Brothers-
Here's the info about work over the summer that I talked about at meeting:
The job you'd be doing would be setting up and cleaning up after events on campus. The facilities we cover are St. Rob's, the Hill, the Bird Nest, Huesman Lounge, the Corner Pocket (McKay game room), the Living Room and Hannon Loft. Basically all you have to do is if there's an event, you go set up a few chairs, and then when it's done you change the setup to whatever the next event wants. You pretty much spend all your time in Malone 103C (one of the offices in the Commons next to the bookstore). It's seriously a do-nothing job. I'm pretty sure the pay rate is $8 and hour, so it's basically minimum wage to sit around and do work once every couple hours.
As far as scheduling goes, if you can work at all suring the summer you could definitely get this job. Even if it's only for a week, you'd still get hired, because we're really short staffed in the summer and can use the help. Also, you pick your own schedule, so it's really flexible.
If you're interested in applying, you HAVE TO APPLY FOR SUMMER WORK STUDY. You need to do this ASAP because eventually they won't give it to you. If you want to apply, print out the form attached to this email and bring it to 103C, or to me. There'll probly be an interview, but you basically have the job since you heard about it from me. Let me know if you're interested and we can start figuring out the next step in getting you hired.
Sam
